Introduction to the “Full Moon Festival – Sharing Love” in Can Tho
At the opening ceremony of the 5th “Full Moon Festival – Sharing Love” 2024, held on September 15 at Luu Huu Phuoc Park, journalist Le Phuong Nguyen, Head of the Organizing Committee, shared that the event has become an annual activity organized by Vietnam Family Magazine in Can Tho.
Under the direction of the Can Tho City People’s Committee, the event mobilized donations to present gifts, lanterns, and scholarships to underprivileged children. With nearly 60 booths providing thousands of free gifts and entertaining art performances, the festival not only created a warm, family-oriented atmosphere but also reflected the local government’s care and attention toward the city’s children.
Through this program, the organizers aim to meet the cultural and artistic needs of children, create a healthy and safe entertainment space, and raise awareness among families and communities about the importance of protecting, caring for, and educating children, ensuring equal opportunities for all to participate in joyful activities.
